Dog Talk (02-07-2015) #407

Gabor runs the rescue network of the Nutmeg Weimaraner Club in Connecticut, through which Tracie found a 4 year old Weimaraner for adoption — which went bad very quickly since she was not told the whole story; in order for others not to suffer the terrible quandary Tracie was put in with this dog, she asks Dog Talk’s own trainer, Allison Denlea, about how to choose and evaluate someone’s personal dog for re-homing; Aimee Sadler created Dogs Playing for Life to help dogs in shelters have a better life and become more adoptable and explains the essential collaboration between adopters and shelters, which are there as our safety net, to handle situations like Tracie’s.
