Dogs love to play. Aimee Sadler’s program, Dogs Playing for Life, is based on this simple concept. She travels around the country teaching shelters how to do play groups with their dogs. Instead of keeping them isolated in their kennels, Aimee shows shelters how to get groups of dogs in a yard to play and learn from each other. The goal is get each dog out of their kennel to play in groups every single day. These play groups enhance the health and well-being of the dogs and dramatically increases their chances for adoption.

Wings of Rescue is a group of volunteer pilots that fly pets from over-crowded shelters to areas of the country where they are in high demand and quickly adopted. These life-saving flights are the only option for many of these animals. In this story, 128 dogs are flown to safety. The pilots and all the volunteers are providing a new beginning for these shelter pets.
